CIVIL WAR U.S. OVAL BELT BUCKLE w/PUPPY PAWS - NON-DUG

Description

This is a very fine Civil War ‘US’ oval belt buckle that is in excellent, non-dug condition. This is the early war type buckle with squat letters and ‘puppy paw’ belt hooks. It retains the full lead filler on the rear side and is with a nice curved to the body. The face of this buckle is nearly perfect with no major edge dings and only a few light marks on the face from actual field use. The brass is with a very attractive, mellow, and even age toned patina. It remains a fine-looking example of the iconic Civil War buckle that remains in excellent, undamaged condition.
