  • Condition: The pickle castor has a large chip and several small flakes to the bottom of the stopper where it sits in the neck of the castor. The castor itself has a few chips to the rim of the neck and a few chips to the high points of the cutting near the base. The silverplate holder has been polished. It has a few spots where the silverplate has worn away, but it is still a nice classy looking piece.

    Cut Crystal Stoppered Pickle Castor Walker & Hall Silverplate Holder 1891 - 1909
    Cut crystal stoppered pickle castor in a silverplate holder. The holder is marked Walker & Hall Sheffield England. This mark was used between 1891 and 1909. Included is a silverplate fork that looks nice with this castor, but is not original to it.
    The pickle castor has a large chip and several small flakes to the bottom of the stopper where it sits in the neck of the castor. The castor itself has a few chips to the rim of the neck and a few chips to the high points of the cutting near the base. The silverplate holder has been polished. It has a few spots where the silverplate has worn away, but it is still a nice classy looking piece.
    The castor measures approximately 4 inches wide x 6 1/8 inches tall including the stopper.
    It measures approximately 6 5/8 inches wide x 7 1/4 inches tall with the holder.
    The fork measures approximately 8 1/4 inches long.
    This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
