An excavated example of a maker marked US Cartridge Box Plate. Smooth brown patina to brass on face. Nice example of an early 1970's dug plate from the Yorktown, Virginia area. Dug July 1972. Maker marked "GAYLORD". Goth iron attachment loops intact on reverse.
