Custom Made Ribbon Microphone
First off let me make this very clear...it is NOT and RCA!
This is a custom made ribbon microphone in a vintage
60's unbranded pill microphone case. It does have an
authentic original RCA 77DX copper band around
top
of body
for cosmetic looks. Inside you'll find a commercial
grade ribbon motor with a 45mm, 2 micron ribbon. It has
an incredible ribbon sound with a response of 30~18khz.
Standard figure 8 pattern, 200 ohm output impedance,
max. SPL of 165db and a standard 3 pin XLR connector.
The internal parts (ribbon motor and tranformer) are
brand new parts. A new 3 conductor sheilded cable has
been added so that output has a BALANCED output. Pin 2
on the XLR is + output, 3 is negative and 1 is grounded
using broadcasting and recording industry standards.
Here is an ideal microphone for broadcasting, recording
studios and prop use. It did take a lot of hours to make, so
