This is an
authentic
and
uncirculated
one dollar bill with a severe cutting error. This cutting error gives this bill a unique property: IT HAS TWO DIFFERENT SERIAL NUMBERS ON THE SAME BILL!! The rare cutting error likely occurred at the New York, NY Federal Reserve Bank. These errors are normally caught by quality control but a few have slipped through apparently. I found this note in an estate sale along with many other numismatics items.
