    ORIGINAL UNISSUED COMPLETE VIETNAM ERA SHELTER HALF W/ ROPE, POLES & STAKES DATED 1977. The Vietnam Era Shelter Half contains 1 shelter half (1/2 pup tent) Dated 05/77, 5 aluminum orange stakes Dated 5/77 & 3 wooden pole uprights Dated 1967. Each person in the military would receive 1 complete shelter half. The shelter half was used as a shelter for 1 person when out in the field. When 2 people got together each one would have a shelter half and would snap them together to form a complete tent. Stamped on the Shelter Half is UUS. Inside the shelter half there is a taped on label with the following information: 8340-00-577-4168, tent, shelter half, 1 each, a-05/77, insp. 7123 310 BL6 CCA-PKD-12. On the 3 orange stakes they are stamped Season-all with a registered trademark symbol and U.S. There is also a taped on label with the following information: 8340-00-261-9749, PINS, 5 EACH, A-5/77, INSP. 7123 310 BL6 CCA, PKD-12. The poles / uprights are an OD green color. Printed on the poles / uprights is U.S. ELROD 1967. There is also a taped on label with the following information: 8340-00-223-7849, POLES, 3 EACH, A-05/77, INSP. 7123 310 BL6 CCA, PKD-12. The master box the shelter half came out of was labeled 8340-01-026-6096, SHELTER HALF TENT, 1 EA., A-04/77, SB700-20, INSP 7091 347 915 CCA, PKD-12. The Vietnam Era Shelter Half is in new condition.
