100 year old Necklace featuring a Centerpiece with the UNIVERSITY of MARYLAND Seal. The Seal sits atop a black and blue geometric mosaic segmented with Sterling Silver dividers. The Pendant and Chain are Sterling Silver and date to the Art Deco period. Scroll down for lots more pictures.

I'm so thrilled to offer this 100 year old Necklace featuring a Centerpiece with the UNIVERSITY of MARYLAND Seal.
The University Seal is affixed to a geometric design of black and royal blue enameling, so definitive of the Art Deco period.  The striking combination is segmented by Sterling Silver.  The Pendant is made of Sterling Silver and hangs from its old Sterling Silver Necklace. The back of the pendant is smooth and not engraved but for the STERLING marking and could be engraved by a jeweler.  It is absolutely complete and darling as it is, though.

Measurements:
The Pendant measures 15/16" Wide and 1 and 1/2" Long, not including the bail.  The Sterling Chain is 18" Long.
