IF WE SMOKED AN A/B TEST AGAINST FRANK SINATRA AND HIS GEAR WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT?  This is a cool - fabulous sounding mic - elegantly designed, that provides liquid - warm sound. Old designs were destined to be improved upon and here is the proof. Our gold plated, 35 mm capsules are machined to the highest standard, way beyond what was possible 60 years ago. And our capsules still use highly polished  brass O rings that are now made of plastic on all Neuman K capsules.  Additionally our 35 mm gold sputtered diaphragms are "full bleed" edge-to-edge.  You won't see imperfections and tools marks on our work. Each microphone is hand made.   Additionally we use a German, military grade, premium 7025 tube.  This is one of the most consistent tubes ever built.  We don't use a big, old school, un-shielded hand wired transformers, that produces noise and interference, at the base of our microphone sleeve. That was an issue with the original design and the BV08 transformer was redesigned many times trying to address these problems. Our design is way more advanced.
The big microphone companies don't exist as they did before. They have been bought by mass producers and now sell knock offs of the original legends.  We started building microphones to give the
underdog producer and artist a chance - a chance to make fabulous recordings without having to pay ridiculous prices for mics.
