    Description

A vintage leather holster, belt, and Tokarev magazine for a Chinese Type 54 pistol. This set only includes the holster, belt and magazine--
    does not include the ammuniton.
I do not have a Tokarev pistol to fit into the holster, but I have a Colt 1903 Pocket Hammer which happens to be of virtually identical dimensions. The Colt fits perfectly in the holster, just as a Type 54 Tokarev pistol would. The belt is 39" long and would fit up to a 34" waist. The belt is does not look like any standard Chinese military belt that I have seen, but it does appear to be made of the same type of leather and was made to be permanently attached to the holster. It also has aged the same as the holster. The belt has 19 loops for holding ammunition. Some of the ammo loops are missing.
This set is possibly a Vietnam War bringback. When I found this in the estate of a Vietnam War vet, the belt ammo loops were loaded with old corroded ammo and the magazine was still half loaded. Some of the ammo is unmarked, but some are marked DWM KK 403. This is a common old Chinese headstamp on 7.63x25 Mauser ammunition, copied directly from even older Mauser produced ammunition. 7.63 Mauser was often used interchangeably with 7.62 Tokarev ammunition by the Chinese. Again, this ammo is not included.
The magazine appears to be functional. Like the belt and holster, it is unmarked--but a lack of origin and production markings was the point of clandestine Chinese aid to Vietnam.
