This is an excellent microphone to purchase as your first professional grade mic. In short, this mic can do everything that you could do with two large-capsule cardioid condenser mics, but in a package that makes those multi-mic setups very intuitive. There are two large condenser capsules inside the housing, allowing stereo recording which can be very useful. The mic also houses two preamplifiers of good quality, as well as a decent A/D converter. Check this out: when you plug in wired headphones or use Bluetooth headphones, you lose audio quality by employing the built-in digital-to-analog converter (D/A). However, this mic also has a stereo D/A converter with an independent volume (3.5mm jack on the bottom), so you can just use it to upgrade your monitor chain. Being USB connected, you get 2/2, or 2 channels out (the headphone Jack on the mic) and two channels in (the two mic capsules). You may use these channels with any software: DAW, video conferencing, film editing, VO software, really anything. Besides the mic, the stand is nice and beefy. You can bump the mic sharply and it will not tip over. However, this is a desk stand, and there is no way to mount the mic to a book stand, which is just as well because it is quite heavy. In short, amateurs should buy this mic. It’s worth what is costs, as the next tier starts at 0 for this type of mic.
This one is not used, the box is open as it is a warranty replaced item, but it is tested and 100% working.
